Chapin - the Capital of Lake Murray
Here, virtually every business, is a local business. Top rated schools, delicious eateries, and stunning lake views sum up this slice of paradise named Chapin.
Located only minutes from the Capital city of Columbia, Chapin holds the title of the "Capital of Lake Murray", and even though conveniently close to the downtown areas, it is removed enough to allow you to escape into another world of nature and recreation.
Enjoy golfing at Chapin's world class country club - Timberlake Country Club located within the Timberlake Community, and what Country Club would be complete without a spectacular lunch/dinner spot attached? Be sure to check out D.W.'s Lakeside Restaurant.
Lake Access is plentiful and convenient in Chapin- I highly recommend Dreher Island State Park, and The Hilton Recreation Area. There are boat slip rentals available at several marina's, and of course we can find you a home or lot with your own private access to Lake Murray.
Food is a big part of the community, and there are several local, fresh options to suit any palate.
One of my favorites is Doza Rizen Cafe - a community favorite for more than a decade. I highly recommend literally any sandwich they offer.
What kind of water-centric community would we be if we didn't have a delicious seafood spot? Catch 22 Seafood and Raw Bar has you covered.
One of a kind pizza? Pompeii Oven. Drinks and Great Food? the Tipsy Toad Tavern. BBQ? Duh - Farm Boys BBQ has that and many other Southern Favorites. Sushi? Get it at least once a week from Miso. And that's not a full list. Here's a more complete list from the Chamber - Chapin Chamber Restaurants, and of course the good old fashioned Google Search "Restaurants".
I can not possibly sum up my community in such a short space. Here, everyone knows everyone, and in the best way possible. We volunteer together, we walk and jog together, we celebrate and we mourn together. Discover Lake Living at it's best - here in Chapin, South Carolina. We welcome you to our beautiful community with open arms.
